The spectacular bespoke creation by Fantini Mosaici for the recently inaugurated boutique hotel at 1, Place Vendôme, inspired by the "Animal World" High Jewelry collection, is truly remarkable.
The hotel is located on the upper floors of the 18th-century building that houses Chopard's historic boutique. A place rich in historical references and home to a collection of artworks gathered by the Scheufele family, the space was fully restored under the guidance of interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
With 15 rooms and suites, the hotel, like a secret treasure chest, preserves the work of Fantini Mosaici: a Winter Garden where the mosaic walls and floor reveal a surprising and precious scene depicting animals from every latitude.
Peacocks, butterflies, monkeys, pandas, exotic birds, and tropical flowers invite guests into the room, offering them the tranquility of relaxing amidst lush nature. Piece by piece, the mastery of Fantini Mosaici’s artisans creates a representation that seems alive, with figures in intense hues standing out against a landscape rich in delicate shades.
Sumptuous, of great beauty, and crafted with the precision of a jewelry creation, the wall mosaic features thousands of hand-cut tiles in sapphire, ruby, emerald, and gold tones.
Turquoise shades in various stone combinations adorn the mosaic floor decoration, which radiates across the entire surface, starting from the central corolla.
