Fantini Mosaici celebrates 125 years of creativity and craftsmanship
Through four generations the Fantini family and the firm that proudly carries its name has used the finest materials and techniques to produce exceptional mosaics pebble stone and terrazzo floors. Across the globe, the extraordinary handmade creations of Fantini Mosaici have become an enduring, captivating part of prestigious projects around the world.
In its 125th year Fantini Mosaici is continuing to grow and evolve. Its new atelier in Foro Buonaparte in Brera, the prestigious Design District of its home city of Milan, will enable a broader range of clients to discover and explore Fantini’s exquisite creations in an inspirational setting. Set to open in 2026, the firm’s first flagship store will become a culture hub for the architectural and design community.
Fantini Mosaici works worldwide, with significant numbers of prestigious projects in the United States and the Middle East, where offices have long been established. Wherever it operates, the firm commits to keeping artistry, rarity and sustainability alive for the future, with apprentice programmes creating new generations of young artisans. “Our mission is to pass centuries-old traditional skills and heritage, enhanced by technology, to the next generations,” said Enrico Fantin, President, Fantini Mosaici.
Since being founded by Domenico Fantini, the firm has been guided by his descendants and driven by Italian family values. When brothers Italo Fantin and Marco Fantini took over management in the second half of the twentieth century, they oversaw a period of significant artistic development. Today, Fantini Mosaici is expertly led by Enrico Fantin, the son of Italo.
The family matriarch and Enrico’s mother, Ersilia Fantin, who at 92 still goes to work every day, said: “It has always felt like a privilege to be part of this storied firm, to watch our skilled artisans creating beautiful works of art, and to witness how they have elevated some of the world’s most extraordinary buildings and public places. I will forever love this company for the rest of my days, and I know that the enduring beauty of Fantini Mosaici’s creations will continue to delight people for many more generations.”
